Nagpur: Chaitanya Raut, the 17-year-old son of Sheshrao Raut, a police constable posted at Hudkeshwar Police Station, has brought international recognition to the Nagpur City Police. He won two gold medals at the 13th World Strength Lifting Championship held in Kyrgyzstan and claimed the ‘World Strong Man’ title with a powerful performance in the sub-junior category.
During the competition, Chaitanya showcased not only his strength but also excellent technique. In particular, he matched the world-record performance in the biceps curl event, demonstrating his abilities at the international level. His achievement has brought recognition to India on the global stage.
Chaitanya is a Class XII student at St. Paul College in Pिपळा Road, Hudkeshwar, and is also preparing for the JEE examination. Balancing his studies with strength-lifting practice, he has achieved this success through hard work, discipline and determination.
Chaitanya’s historic performance has sparked celebrations in Nagpur’s sporting community. Police officers, colleagues and sports enthusiasts congratulated him and wished him success in his future endeavours.
