Nagpur: Pardi Police have arrested two men for allegedly demanding ₹3 lakh from a woman by threatening to tell her husband about an alleged affair and allegedly entering her home while armed with a knife and wooden stick.
The accused have been identified as Shekhar Verma and Lucky Rahate.

According to the complaint, the 25-year-old woman had previously worked for Shekhar Verma in catering. She reportedly left the job after finding his behaviour inappropriate.
The woman alleged that after she quit, Shekhar began threatening her and accused her of having an affair. He allegedly threatened to disclose the matter to her husband and demanded ₹3 lakh in return for keeping it secret.
Alleged Threats at Woman’s Home
According to the complaint, on September 29, the woman was alone at home while her husband was away at work. Shekhar allegedly arrived at the house along with Lucky Rahate.
The woman alleged that both men were carrying a knife and wooden stick. She further claimed that Shekhar waved the knife and threatened to kill her, while his associate allegedly threatened to attack her with the wooden stick.
The woman raised an alarm, following which neighbours gathered at the spot. The two accused allegedly fled from the location.
Based on the complaint, Pardi Police registered a case under relevant serious provisions, including attempt to murder and the Arms Act, and arrested both accused.
Police are conducting further investigation into the allegations and circumstances of the incident.
