Nagpur: Two men have been arrested by Panchpaoli Police for allegedly robbing a youth after threatening him with an air gun resembling a firearm and assaulting him in the Panchpaoli area of Nagpur.
The accused have been identified as Somesh Marskolhe and Sagar Yeti. Police said both suspects also have previous criminal records, with cases related to serious offences registered against them.

Youth Allegedly Threatened and Assaulted
According to the complaint, the victim, Pankaj Kukde, had gone near Jaiswal Country Liquor Shop at Mehendibagh Power House Chowk. The accused allegedly approached him and began abusing him without any apparent reason.
The two men allegedly assaulted Kukde and threatened to kill him.
Later, while Kukde was returning home, the accused allegedly approached him again. Police said Somesh Marskolhe pulled out an air gun resembling a firearm and threatened the victim, before allegedly assaulting him.
During the incident, Sagar Yeti allegedly forcibly took cash from the victim’s shirt pocket. The two accused then reportedly fled the spot on a motorcycle.
CCTV and Technical Investigation Led to Arrest
After receiving the complaint, Panchpaoli Police launched an investigation. Police reportedly examined CCTV footage and technical information and also developed information through their sources to trace the suspects.
Both accused were subsequently detained. During questioning, police said they admitted their alleged involvement in the incident.
Police recovered the stolen cash, air gun and the two-wheeler allegedly used in the crime from Somesh Marskolhe.
Previous Criminal Cases Under Scanner
According to police, the investigation also revealed previous criminal cases against both accused. Police said around a dozen cases involving allegations such as murder, assault and robbery have been registered against them at Panchpaoli and Yashodhara Nagar police stations.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
