
Nagpur: Panic gripped the Hasanbagh Flyover area in Nandanvan after a firing incident was reportedly reported late Thursday night. Around 12:30 am, three to four people arrived in a car near DL Motors, where one of them allegedly fired a shot into the air before fleeing the spot.
According to preliminary information, the occupants of the car stopped near the flyover and, shortly afterwards, one of the men allegedly fired in the air. The sound of the gunshot alarmed nearby residents, who came out of their homes. However, the suspects had already fled in the car.
After receiving information about the incident, Nandanvan police and senior police officials reached the spot. Police began examining CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around the area to identify the vehicle and those involved.
Police have reportedly obtained some clues regarding the suspected car. Sources also indicated that a suspected criminal from the Mahal area may have been involved in the firing. However, police have not officially confirmed the identity or involvement of any particular person.
The motive behind the firing and the identities of those involved will be established during the investigation. Nandanvan police are currently searching for the suspects based on CCTV footage and other leads.
