Nagpur: A 34-year-old man died after accidentally falling into an underground water tank at Varuna Multispeciality Hospital in the Bajaj Nagar police station area of Nagpur early on Sunday. The incident occurred around 2 am on November 16, 2025.
According to police, the deceased, Krishna Vinayak Boltane, a resident of Ward No. 3, Datta Mandir, Kamptee, had gone to the hospital to visit his friend, Shubham Chaudhary, who was admitted for treatment. While stepping out of the hospital building to urinate, Krishna reportedly stepped on the lid of a water tank. The lid gave way, causing him to fall inside the tank.

Hospital staff and others managed to pull him out and rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). However, doctors declared him dead before treatment.
Based on the information provided by his brother, Chandrahari Vinayak Boltane (35), Bajaj Nagar Police have registered a case of accidental death. Woman API Gire is investigating the matter further.
