According to police sources, Ayush worked in housekeeping services at the railway station and had reportedly been under severe emotional stress due to problems in his relationship.

Investigators said Ayush had been in a relationship with a young woman, and the couple had allegedly been facing frequent arguments and tensions over the past three to four days. Matters took a tragic turn when Ayush reportedly made a video call to his girlfriend shortly before the incident.

During police questioning, the girl stated that Ayush allegedly took the extreme step while still connected to her on the video call. She told investigators that she repeatedly tried to stop him, calm him down and convince him not to do anything drastic, but he allegedly refused to listen.

Police sources said Ayush tied a dupatta to the ceiling fan inside his room and died by suicide.

The incident created panic and grief in the locality after family members and neighbours learned about the horrifying sequence of events.

During the preliminary investigation, police also discovered that several chats and messages had allegedly been deleted from the youth’s mobile phone before the incident. Suspecting crucial evidence may have been erased, investigators have now sent the mobile handset for forensic examination.

Officials are also questioning the deceased’s friends and close contacts to understand his mental state and determine what exactly transpired before the suicide.

Police have registered a case of accidental death and launched a detailed investigation. Authorities are now analysing mobile data, deleted chats, call records and digital evidence to uncover the exact reason behind the drastic step.

The incident has once again highlighted growing concerns over emotional instability, relationship-related stress and the psychological impact of conflicts among young adults in the digital age.
