Nagpur, Hingna Panchayat Samitis to have new buildings

Nagpur: State Government has approved construction of administrative buildings for Nagpur and Hingna Panchayat Samitis. Rs 4.41 crore and Rs 3.18 crore respectively have been sanctioned for the construction works. A circular to this effect was issued by the government on Friday. The Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad had urged the Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule to make efforts for the approval of state government construction of new administrative buildings for Nagpur and Hingna Panchayat Samitis.

The present buildings of both the Panchayat Samitis are old ones and lacked sufficient facilities. The Nagpur Panchayat Samiti building will be constructed on a land admeasuring 1769.90 sq mtr. The Public Works Department (PWD) has prepared a plan to have three-story building. The built-up area will be 1263.46 sq mtr and will cost Rs 4.41 crore. Similarly, the Hingna Panchayat Samiti building will be constructed on a land admeasuring 995.81 sq mtr at the cost of Rs 3.18 crore.
