1. Dakshinamurti Mandal, Mahal – Alandi Temple
A must-visit for those who appreciate spirituality and traditional architecture.
The Shri Dakshinamurti Swayamsevak Ganeshotsav Mandal in Mahal, with more than a century of tradition, has recreated the revered Alandi Temple in Pune as its 2026 theme.
The installation commemorates the 750th birth anniversary year of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, with a towering 14-foot Ganesha idol forming the centrepiece.
The recreation combines temple architecture with the spiritual atmosphere associated with Alandi, making it one of the standout traditional pandals in central Nagpur.

2. Pataleshwar Mandal, Mahal – The Golden Chariot of Sri Lanka
Mahal has another major attraction this year.
The Shri Pataleshwar Ganeshotsav Mandal, celebrating its 71st year, has created a spectacular installation inspired by the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
The highlight is an elaborate recreation of the temple’s famous golden chariot, surrounded by Dravidian-style architectural elements.
At the centre is the mandal’s approximately 12-foot-tall Ganesha, popularly known as Mahal Cha Raja.

3. Vivekanand Nagar – Disneyland Comes to Nagpur
This one is likely to be a favourite among children and families.
The Vivekanand Nagar Ganesh Utsav Sanskrutik Seva Trust has created a huge Disneyland-themed pandal, bringing the magic of the Disney universe into the heart of Nagpur’s Ganeshotsav celebrations.
The structure is approximately 75 feet high and 120 feet wide, with artists working for weeks to create the elaborate installation.
Expect plenty of colourful characters, fantasy elements and photo opportunities.
Why visit: A family-friendly spectacle that combines Ganeshotsav with the world of Disney.
4. Ramkrishna Nagar – Hogwarts in Nagpur
For Harry Potter fans, this could be one of the most unusual pandals of the season.
The Ganesh Utsav Mandal at Ramkrishna Nagar has recreated the magical world of Hogwarts, complete with elements inspired by the Great Hall, dormitories, moving staircases and a library.
Lord Ganesha has been placed inside the recreated library, with the theme also incorporating Indian literary and mythological references.
Harry Potter-inspired figures, including a flying silhouette on a broomstick along with characters such as Hagrid and Buckbeak, add to the visual experience.

5. Tatya Tope Nagar – Govardhan Leela
For devotees who prefer mythology and storytelling, Tatya Tope Nagar is worth adding to the list.
The Tatya Tope Nagar Nagrik Mandal Ganesh Utsav Samiti has based this year’s presentation on Govardhan Parvat, depicting Lord Krishna lifting the mountain to protect the people and animals of Vrindavan.
The experience takes visitors through different episodes from Krishna Leela, including Krishna’s birth, Makhan Chori, Kaliya Mardan, Kans Vadh, Sudama Bheint and Ras-Leela.

6. Dharampeth – Vaikunth Dham
A lane near Zenda Chowk in Dharampeth is taking on a divine makeover this Ganeshotsav.
The Shri Ganesh Utsav Mandal has created Vaikunth Dham, inspired by the divine abode of Lord Vishnu.
The installation features elements including Sheshnag and Samudra Manthan, along with a grand representation of Vaikunth Dham.
The mandal is also continuing its tradition of presenting Ramayan-based jhankis, featuring Lord Ram, Sita and Hanuman.

7. Bhende Layout – Ancient India’s Science & Technology
Ganeshotsav isn’t only about spectacular visuals. One pandal in Bhende Layout is using the festival to explore India’s scientific heritage.
The Shri Sarvajanik Bal Ganesh Utsav Mandal has chosen the theme of science and technology in ancient India.
The presentation incorporates handmade structures, intricate ironwork, pillars, mechanical elements and moving components.
The concept revolves around “Vidnyan, Dharma, Atmashuddhi”, linking knowledge, spirituality and scientific achievement.

8. Trimurti Nagar – A Journey Beyond Reality

Head to Trimurti Nagar, where the Yuvak Ganesh Mandal has created an imaginative presentation based on “Elements of the Universe.”
