Nagpur Forest Department bust gang selling tiger nails, teeth; 5 arrested

Nagpur: Acting on the secret information, the vigilant officials of Nagpur Forest Department on Tuesday busted a gang selling tiger nails and teeth in Umred. Besides arrested the accused identified as Tarachand Mahadev Neware (41), a resident of Khandakala village, Dinesh Kavadu Kumbhale (30), from Wadhona village, Ajay Rajuji Bhanarkar (24) of Wadhona, Premchandra Waghade (50) from Sonpur village and Raju Kulmethe (38) of Khadkala, all under Nagbhid Tehsil in Chandrapur district, the Forest officials have also recovered tiger nails and teeth.

According to Forest Department sources, they received secret input regarding a group of men trying to sell tiger nails and teeth from Umred Bus Stop. Acting swiftly on the input, the Forest Department laid a trap near the bus stop and nabbed the accused.
