Nagpur District records 60.11 percent voting as DEO releases Final Voter Turnout figures

Nagpur:
The figures of Final Voter Turnout for the October 15 Assembly election in 12 constituencies of Nagpur District have shown an average 60.11 percent voting. Nagpur District has a total of 3704847 voters comprising 1928105 male, 1776694 female and 48 transgender voters. 2226875 voters turned at various polling centres to cast their votes. The polling was held between 7 am and 6 pm. In 2009 Assembly election, 55.81 voters had exercised their franchise in the district whereas the 2014 Lok Sabha poll had recorded 57.05 percent voting in Nagpur City and 62.65 percent in Ramtek constituency, according to a press release issued by office of District Collector/District Election Officer on Thursday, October 16. Following are details of each constituency:

South-West Nagpur:
The constituency recorded 56.22 voting with 191642 voters out of a total of 340905 voters exercising their franchise. The constituency has 172946 male, 167946 female and 13 transgender voters. 99593 male and 92049 female voters got themselves inked on the polling day with percentage standing 57.59 and 54.81 respectively.

South Nagpur:
A total of 53.22 percent voters out of 342245 exercised their franchise. The constituency has 174505 male, 167739 female and 1 transgender voters. But only 96845 male and 85309 female voters made it to polling centres in percentage of 55.5 and 50.86 respectively.

East Nagpur:
This constituency witnessed 56.28 percent voting in the total of 327282 voters. Out of 172722 male voters and 154555 female voters, 101480 males and 82370 females cast their votes.

Central Nagpur:
55.12 percent voters, out of 292581, cast their votes. The constituency comprised of 149988 male, 142589 female and 4 transgender voters. 88948 male and 72378 female voters pushed the EVM buttons.

West Nagpur:
This constituency recorded the lowest voter turnout with percentage standing at 52.14. It has a total of 332641 voters comprising 170310 male, 162327 female and 4 transgender voters. However, only 92193 male and 81230 female voters turned u[ at polling centres.

North Nagpur:
A 53.55 percent voting was recorded in this constituency comprising 337913 voters. 96951 male and 84009 female voters out of 175198 and 163706 respectively made it to polling centres.

Katol:
This segment recorded the highest voting among all 12 constituencies of Nagpur District with figures standing at 70.38 percent. Out of total 250536 voters, 176316 cast their votes. The constituency has 132192 male and 118344 female voters out of which 94950 male and 81366 female voters pushed the EVM buttons making it 71.83 and 68.75 percent respectively.

Saoner:
In this constituency, 186036 voters out of total 269952 voters exercised their franchise with percentage standing at 68.91, the second highest in the district. The segment has 142399 male, 127549 female and 4 transgender voters. 101290 male and 84746 female voters made it to polling centres.

Hingna:
This seat witnessed 65.99 voting percentage with 199818 voters out of 302811 casting their votes. The voters comprised 163118 males, 139685 females and 8 transgenders. 109933 male and 89885 female voters went to polling centres to cast their votes.

Umred:
This constituency saw a turnout of 65.81 percent out of total 283922 voters. 100445 male and 86416 female voters got themselves inked in the percentage of 67.72 and 63.73 respectively.

Kamptee:
In this constituency, the voting percentage was recorded at 62.25. It comprised of a total of 376877 voters out of which 126133 male and 108459 female voters exercised their franchise.

Ramtek:
The constituency witnessed third highest voting percentage with figure standing at 68.61. It has a total of 247182 voters comprising 130814 male and 116368 female voters out of which 91842 male and 77745 female voters turned up at polling centres.
