Nagpur District Bar Association’s New Team to Take Oath on September 11

जिला बार की नई टीम का 11 सितंबर को शपथ-सत्कार समारोहNagpur: The newly elected executive committee of the District Bar Association, Nagpur, for 2026 will be formally inducted at an oath-taking and felicitation ceremony on Friday, September 11.

The event will be held at 6.15 pm at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Auditorium in Civil Lines and will bring together prominent personalities from the judiciary, legal profession and administration.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will attend the ceremony as the chief guest, while former Chief Justice of India Justice Bhushan R. Gavai will preside over the function.

Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Maharashtra Law and Judiciary Minister Ashish Jaiswal, Administrative Judge of the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court Justice Anil Kilor, and Principal District and Sessions Judge M. S. Azmi will be present as special guests.

New Executive Committee to Be Felicitated

The newly elected office-bearers and members of the District Bar Association will be formally welcomed and felicitated during the programme.

The new team, led by President Advocate Prakash S. Jaiswal and General Secretary Advocate Anil H. Gulhane, will officially assume its responsibilities at the ceremony.

The event comes at a significant juncture for the district’s legal fraternity, with the new executive committee expected to focus on issues concerning advocates, court facilities, professional interests and coordination between the Bar and the Bench.

Focus on Bar-Bench Coordination

The presence of senior judicial and government functionaries is expected to give added significance to the programme.
