Nagpur witnessed yet another brutal murder after a 65-year-old woman was found with her throat slit in Lashkaribagh under Panchpaoli police limits on Friday morning.
The victim, identified as Indu Chauhan, was living with her husband. Police and Crime Branch teams rushed to the spot after the incident triggered panic in the locality. Investigators suspect the involvement of someone known to the victim, while CCTV footage and local inquiries are underway.
The incident comes amid a shocking rise in violent crime in the city. Nagpur has reported 5 murder cases in just the last 6 days, including dowry killing, revenge murder, and labour dispute-related homicide cases.
