Amravati: In a major political development, a case has been registered against Bachchu Kadu, president of the Prahar Janshakti Party and former state minister, over allegations of plotting a murder. The complaint was filed by Abhijeet Tayade, brother of BJP MLA Pravin Tayade, sending shockwaves across the district.
The FIR has been lodged at Chandur Bazar Police Station under Amravati Rural Police jurisdiction, triggering intense political and public reaction.
What Is the Allegation?
According to complainant Abhijeet Divakarrao Tayade (40), Bachchu Kadu, along with his close associate Shubham alias Golu Mahore, allegedly conspired to eliminate him. The complaint claims that the accused planned to stage a “fake road accident” to make the death appear natural and avoid suspicion, allegedly to clear political obstacles.
Audio Recording Emerges as Key Evidence
A crucial piece of evidence in the case is a mobile call recording submitted by Abhijeet Tayade. He claims the recording contains conversations detailing the alleged murder plot. Police have seized the pen drive containing the audio and initiated verification of its authenticity.
FIR Registered Under BNS Provisions
Chandur Bazar Police have registered the case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges related to criminal conspiracy and abetment of crime (Sections 55 and 58), along with other applicable provisions.
Investigation Underway
Amravati Rural Police confirmed that the audio evidence has been sent for forensic examination. Authorities are investigating whether the alleged conspiracy is genuine or linked to ongoing political rivalry.
Political Tensions Rise
The allegation has intensified the long-standing rivalry between Bachchu Kadu and the Tayade family in Achalpur and Amravati politics. With such serious charges surfacing, the issue is expected to escalate into a major political controversy in Maharashtra.
As of now, no official statement has been released by Bachchu Kadu regarding the allegations.
