Municipal Commissioner reviews ballot printing ahead of NMC polls

Nagpur: As part of preparations for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) general elections 2025–26, the printing of ballot papers to be affixed to Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) is underway at the Government Printing Press in Nagpur. Municipal Commissioner and Election Officer Dr Abhijit Chaudhari visited the printing press on Sunday morning to review the process.

Polling for 151 seats across 38 wards of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation is scheduled to be held on January 15. A total of 992 candidates are in the fray. Ballot papers are being printed ward-wise and zone-wise to ensure accuracy and smooth conduct of the election process. Senior officials have been deputed to supervise the printing work.

During his visit, Dr Chaudhari held discussions with the concerned officers and issued necessary instructions regarding the timely and error-free completion of the work.

NMC Deputy Commissioner and Chief Election Officer Nirbhay Jain, Assistant Commissioner Shyam Kapse, Executive Engineer Manoj Singh, Election Decision Officers Indira Chaudhari and Amol Kumbhar, Assistant Commissioner Rajkumar Meshram, and Government Printing Press Assistant Manager Vinod Bondhle, along with other officials, were present on the occasion.
