
Nagpur: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), popularly known as MahaVitaran, undertook a scheduled power shutdown in several parts of Nagpur on Wednesday, May 6, due to routine maintenance and repair work on power lines under the Civil Lines, Mahal, and Butibori divisions.
In the Civil Lines division, power remained suspended from 7 am to 11 am in areas including Purushottam Bazaar, Manasrovar, Welcome Society, Zingabai Takli, Gaurkhede Complex, Higoli Bika Society, Friends Colony, Phalke Layout, Kolbaswami Society, Netaji Society, Omkar Gaurav, Nelco Society, Anupam Society, Pili Nadi, Bhante Anand Nagar, Kia showroom area, Nilgiri Apartments, Automotive Square, Khila Company, and adjoining localities.
Under the Mahal division, electricity was disrupted from 8 am to 11 am in areas such as Indira Nagar, Rajabaksh Hanuman Mandir area, Rambagh Colony, Jayanti Maidan, Parate Flour Mill vicinity, Rambagh water tank area in Jattarodi, Murti factory area, Banerjee Layout, Vasant Nagar, Ishwar Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Mitra Nagar, Pragati Nagar, Kailash Nagar, Naik Nagar, Kunjilal Peth, Post Office area, Bhagwan Nagar, Bank Colony, Medical Colony, and nearby localities.
Meanwhile, in the Butibori division, power supply to industrial consumers including KEC International, Sharda Ispat, Salasar, Shilpa, Dandekar, and Lokmat Press was suspended from 7 am onwards.
Considering the ongoing summer season, authorities have urged residents to complete essential tasks early in the morning and cooperate with the power utility during the maintenance period.
