Money lenders booked for man’s suicide

Nagpur News: Three months after debt ridden Avinash Bande, 47-year-old, committed suicide, Kotwali police booked two money lenders who tortured him for the money and forcing him to take the drastic step.

Police said Bande had taken money from Reshimbagh resident Deepika Mehta (50) and Parag Karole (38), a resident of Surve lay-out, for some personal use. He failed to return in time and hence Mehta and Karole started harassing and pressurizing him to return the money.

Having no option left, an unemployed Bande consumed poison on July 16 at his rented room in old Shukrawari. He succumbed to his injuries after ten days.

ON the complaint filed by Bande’s wife Mamta, police booked the duo.
