Nagpur News : CCTV cameras installed in the apartment captured an unidentified youth who molested a 17-year-old girl on Thursday afternoon under the jurisdiction of Rana Pratap Nagar police station area. The victim claimed that she parked her vehicle and was walking to her flat when the youth stopped her and misbehaved her.
Though shocked, she overcome within minutes and rushed down to chase the youth. She managed to note down his bike’s number.
Rana Pratap Nagar police are trying to get the identity of the youth, whose slight image has been captured by the surveillance cameras.
According to the victim’s police statement, she parked her vehicle and was walking to her flat when a youth called her saying, ‘Excuse me madam’. As soon as the girl turned, the youth did indecent acts and fled away.
The girl ran downstairs but the youth fled away on his bike. The girl claimed that she had roughly note down the bike’s number as MH31-9955 but failed to note down the series. Cops said that the security guard had gone to have lunch when the incident took place.
Police said that the image captured is not clear and thus they are facing more problems in getting his identity.
“The images were shown to the victim but she claimed that she had never met the youth before,” said police.
Police have been submitted the incomplete number to RTO officials.
