Mockery of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: 30 men, women booked for swindling funds received for toilets

Mocking at the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a group of 30 men and women embezzled the funds received for construction of toilets. The accused reside in different localities

The accused received Rs 8,000 each for construction of toilet under the scheme. However, instead of constructing toilets, the accused used money for other purpose. All the 30 accused applied for the funds for construction of toilets under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Acting on the applications, Government deposited Rs 8000 each in the bank accounts of the accused applicants.

The accused have been identified as Anil Raghoji Umbhare, Chanda Kishore Dongre, Ratnamala Devendra Janbandhu, Vijay Deonath Ramteke, Deepak Nagorao Pathane, Mangal bapurao Sakhre, Vinay Kasuba Bagde, Naresh Maniram Bhesare, Savita Amar Borkar, Sunil Tulshiram Rangari, Ashokabai Raviraj Kotangale, Pournima Pradeep Shende, Manoj Namdeo Mate, Virangana Girish Phulekar, Kamlabai Ramkrishna Tayde, Shobha Suresh Dongre, Baban Anandrao Dongre, Rajesh Ramdas Mohod, Vinayak Urkuda Kadbe, Indu Dinesh Gajbhiye, Roshan Madhukar Gondane, Janardan Shankar Chaudhary, Vijay Madan Kudiya, Sandip Nagorao Ingole, Sanjay Charandas Ingole, Keshav Shambhuji Patil, Kavita Suresh Bansod, Kalpana Anil Uike. Suresh Rohit Gedam, and Sachin Ramkrishna Sukhdeve.

Jaripatka PSI Khare has booked all the 30 accused under Section 406 of the IPC and initiated further investigation into the matter.
