Mobile phones, CCTV worth Rs 6.23 lakh stolen from Nandanvan shoppy

Nagpur: Unidentified burglar(s) targeted a mobile shoppy in Nanadnvan area and decamped with cell phone handsets of different companies. The miscreants also took away CCTV and DVR of the mobile shop in order to hide their identity and destroy other evidence. The collective value of stolen goods has been pegged at Rs 6.23 lakh. The theft took place between 10 pm of Monday and 9 am of Tuesday.

Complainant Devendra Manikrao Jain (46), resident of Plot No. 1044, Jagnade Square, near KDK College, owns the Bhagwati Electronics and Mobile Shoppy situated on KDK College Road. On Monday night, Devendra closed his shop as usual and went home. In the meanwhile, burglars struck at his shoppy and took away 24 handsets of Samsung company, 12 handsets of Gioni and one Apple mobile. Apart from the mobile phones, the burglars also decamped with CCTV and DVR of the shoppy with the clear intention of hiding their identity and destroy other evidence. The stolen goods were valued at Rs 6.23 lakh. When the theft came to notice the next day morning, Devendra registered a case with Nandanvan police.

API Kamble has booked the unidentified thieves under Sections 380, 201 of IPC and mounted a search to apprehend them.
