Nagpur: Despite being razed down by the Anti-Encroachment squad of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), following a court order, the Muslim Library (ML) Canteen resumed its operations in Mominpura.
Interestingly, NMC has refused to wake up from its slumber, as no concrete action has been initiated so far.

Notably, the civic body had demolished the illegal construction of Muslim Library (ML) Canteen in Mominpura two and a half months ago. However, the canteen is now back doing a brisk business in the same space. NMC hasn’t bothered to take any action so far.
It is pertinent to mention that there was a lot of tension in Mominpura during demolition of the illegal construction of ML Canteen. This operation was carried out under heavy police security. The corporation even patted its own back for the action.
Thereafter it took no follow up action. NMC did not even remove the construction debris from the site. It is still lying scattered on the plot. The canteen has started operations again.
