Missing girl found murdered; love affair emerges as a motive

Tension ran high in Panchgaon area on Umred Road when a young girl was found brutally murdered. A team of cops from Kuhi Police Station rushed to the spot and launched an in-depth investigation into the murder.

Preliminary probe revealed that the deceased is Fiza alias Monu Ramzan Sheikh (18), a resident of Bada Tajbagh in Nagpur. Fiza was Class XI student of Yashodhara Junior College here. According to sources, Fiza left her home on January 26 and did not return home late night. Panicked over Fiza going missing, her relatives lodged a complaint with Sakkardara Police Station. The cops, after registering the missing complaint, mounted a search and also alerted all the police stations. The alert led to finding of Fiza’s body in Panchgaon area on Umred Road coming under Kuhi police. The relatives were called to the spot to identify the body. The body bore deep wounds and her face was found smashed with blunt object, most probably to hide her identity. Cops sent her body to a government hospital for autopsy.

Sources added that the murder could be the outcome of love affair. Police have launched a thorough investigation to ascertain the exact reason behind the murder and the perpetrators of the crime.
