Buldhana: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father in Maharashtra’s Khamgaon village which is located in Buldhana. The incident occurred on September 14 and the accused was arrested on Saturday after the victim’s mother registered a complaint.
The police arrested the father once the complaint was registered.
The incident occurred when the minor girl was alone at the home. After sexually assaulting the minor girl, the victim’s father asked the girl not to speak of the incident to anyone. The crime came to light after the girl’s condition deteriorated and thereafter she told her mother. Following which her mother reported the crime.
In a similar incident, a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped inside her school premises by an employee, in Hyderabad. As per police, the accused raped the victim after luring her on the pretext of giving her a chocolate.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) Act. Following the incident, the locals gathered at the school premises and vandalised the property. As of now, the victim has been shifted to hospital for treatment. The suspect is in custody and an investigation is underway.
In yet another incident, a 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man on the pretext of providing her with a job in south Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area. The victim alleged that she used to talk to a person named Atul Gupta who assured her that he would arrange a job for her.
Meanwhile, there has been much furore after a 19-year-old girl was abducted from a bus stop and raped in Haryana’s Mahendargarh district on Wednesday. The main accused is a serving defence personnel stationed in Rajasthan. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been set up and a bounty of Rs 1 lakh has also been announced for the accused.
