Nagpur: In recent times, the number of rapes and molestations seems to have increased significantly. In a recent incident, Jaripatka Police has registered a case against an accused who had been raping a minor 14-year-old regularly for one year.
According to police sources, from April 22, 2015 to April 22, 2016, the minor victim aged 14-years living in a house in Jaripatka area was raped by the accused identified as Shubham Rajesh Kanojia aged 22 years and a resident of MHADA Colony. The accused had trapped the minor girl in his love. The accused had promised to marry the victim and had been raping the minor girl for nearly one year.
The accused had become so reckless with bravado that he used to even go to the victim’s house to rape her. However, the victim became pregnant. The accused then forcibly got the victim to undergo abortion.
The accused then threatened the victim and her mother that if she or her mother reports the matter to anyone, he would kill both of them.
After the abortion, the accused refused to marry the victim.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, PSI S R Dongre of Jaripatka Police Station registered a case under Sections 376 (I), (N), 313, 3 (A), Sub Section 4, 5 (J), (2), Sub Section (6) POSCO Act.
