Nagpur: Another minor girl was allegedly raped in separate incidents in Gittikhadan area and the accused involved in the case has been arrested, police sources said on Saturday.
According to police sources, the victim, a 12-year-old girl a resident of Gittikhadan area was cycling in front of her house, when the accused identified as Ashwin alias Bunty Narendra Chauhan aged 20 years and a resident of the Gittikhadan area and a neighbor of the victim, pulled the girl inside his house and raped her after tearing her cloths.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the mother aged 40 years, Police Sub Inspector Sonwane of the Gittikhadan Police registered a case under Sections 376(2)(i) (a)(rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
Police Sub Inspector Sonwane of the Gittikhadan Police has also arrested the accused last night.
