Nagpur: The incidents of rape seem to be on the rise. Last week one minor girl and two girls were raped. The incidents have not even turned old that another case of a rape of a 13-year-old minor girl has come to fore.
According to police sources, a minor boy aged 17 years had entered the house of the 13-year-old girl when the girl was alone and raped her. When the family members of the minor girl returned home and saw the condition of the girl, it did not take long for them to realize what has transpired with the girl.
The family members lodged a complaint with the Kalamna Police Station against the accused.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, Assistant Police Inspector M Thakre of Kalamna Police Station registered a case under sections 376 (2), (I) Sub Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
Further investigations are underway.
