Nagpur: A middle aged woman driving pillion on a moped was robbed of her gold chain on Mangalwari flyover on Friday night under the jurisdiction of Jaripatka police.
According to police sources, finished with grocery shopping from Mangalwari Bazar, complainant Anuradha Rao (51), a resident of Belyshop Quarter No. L/20, L/3 Bezonbagh was returning home with her daughter on the moped (MH/31/EC/4570) on Friday. At around 8.45 pm when the mother-daughter duo reached on Mangalwari flyover, some unidentified miscreant aged between 28 and 30 approached them on a black Activa and snatched Anuradha’s gold chain. However, the duo tried to chase the accused, but the miscreant managed to zoom away from the spot.
Following the compliant of Anuradha, Jaripatka police have registered an offence against unidentified robber under Section 392 of IPC and started the probe.
