Nagpur: A middle aged property dealer was murdered by slitting his throat in Fulmati-layout near Shatabdi square on the intervening night of Saturday. The unidentified accused later dumped the body inside a nearby well under Ajni police.
The deceased was identified as Buddharam alias Kallu Kaleshwar Kaithwas (50) resident of 133 Kashi Nagar, Ringh Road.
The body was first spotted by deceased’s lover in the wee hours of Saturday, who later alerted nearby people.
According to police sources, Kaithwas was sleeping in his tin shaded residence in Fulmati-layout near Shatabdi square on Friday night. When an unidentified accused had entered the tin-shade with a sharp weapon and slit his throat. Accused later tied the Kaithwas’s body to a stone and dumped it inside a nearby well.
Kaithwas, recently had earned hefty sum of Rs 10-12 as a brakeage. He had bought an auto few days back and was planning to share some amount with his wife and his two sons. However the sudden murder had raised police’s eyebrows on deceased lover, who reportedly used to ply between her house in Shankarpur and deceased’s Fulmati-layout based residence.
Anji police have booked deceased’s lover and anticipating role of few more people regarding this connection.
