Merit list of students for admissions to XI Bifocal courses released with flaws

The list of selected students for admissions to Class XI Bifocal courses has been released. However, there seems to be a major flaw as the list contains number of selected students to 5641 and the seats are 4638 only. The Centralised Admissions Committee (CAC) has received 87 complaints regarding the merit list in two days. The admission process for Bifocal courses would begin on July 1 from 8 am.

In the first session, students having serial numbers from 1 to 300 would be included which will continue till 1 pm. The second session would be for students having serial numbers from 301 to 600. The first 40 per cent seats would be for technical students. The vacant seats would be offered to additional students on July 9. The detailed information regarding Bifocal is available on www.cacstd11ngp.orghttp://dydenagpur.org websites. A total of 5778 applications were received for Bifocal courses. According to reports, those schools which could not fill up the seats reserved for backward class students surrendered the seats. The result was the number of such seats increased.

The process of distributing and collecting application forms for General Science, Urdu, Home Science ended on Sunday. Now the list of schools will be released on July 18.

Following are the figures of distribution and collection application form for various science courses:

For General Science (English) there are 7407 seats are available in 117 Higher Secondary and Junior Secondary Colleges, Science (Urdu) 215 seats are available in five Higher Secondary and Junior Secondary Colleges, and for Home Science there are 200 seats in five Higher Secondary and Junior Secondary Colleges.

For Bifocal courses, there are 4638 seats in 74 Higher Secondary and Junior Secondary Colleges including 2215 seats for Electronics, 1776 seats for Computer Science, 497 seats for Fisheries (English), 13 seats for Fisheries (Urdu), 85 for Electrical Maintenance, 40 seats for Mechanical Maintenance, and 12 seats for Scooter Maintenance.
