Nagpur News: In an exemplary display of valour, a youth from the city fended off notorious miscreants, who tried to rob him and his girlfriend at knife point. The goons were even nabbed by the police due to this courageous youth.The incident took place on the Narsada Ring Road, Saturday evening. The accused has been identified as Gajanan alias Gajju Vilas Jadhav, 30.
According to the sources the youth Akash Talmale was returning from the Narsada Ring Road with his girlfriend. It was then that Gajju along with few others stopped the couple and relieved them of mobile phone and the girl’s purse. But Akash refused to let go of the valuables and started to resist. Akash attacked the robbers. One of Akash’s friends was passing by and saw the tussle. Even he came to Akash’s aid. Akash was severely injured in the brawl. despite this he did not let go of Gajju’s motor bike due to which the assailants had to flee on foot.
It was due to this that the police was able to closein on Gajju and arrested him Sunday morning. Gajju had been carrying out robberies across the city from quite some time but had managed to evade the police till now.
