MCOCA slapped on all accused involved in firing incident at Hotel Skylark

Nagpur: While keeping their resolve to send a strong message to the ill-famous criminals and small time criminals in the city, the Crime branch has gained one more feather in their caps by slapping the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) on all the accused involved in the firing incident of Hotel Skylark.

This is the 13th case of cops slapping Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act on criminals in the city.

A bouncer of Hotel Skylark Vivek Jain, who had received bullet injury on his face, and had later succumbed to his injuries and died on March 17, 2016.

While speaking to media personnel, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranjan Sharma (Crime) said that the esteemed court has slapped slapping Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act on all the accused involved in the crime including:

  1. Ramzan Rauf Shah alias Dholwala on whom 6 offences are registered
  2. Abdul Aziz on whom 8 offences are registered
  3. Irshad alias Ishu on whom 6 offences are registered
  4. Mohammed Sahid on whom 8 offences are registered
  5. Naushad Khan on whom 9 offences are registered
  6. Arbaz Sanu Mohammed Israel on whom 8 offences are registered

It could be mentioned here that during investigations it came to fore that it was Ramjan Shaha alias Dholwala, who had fired a bullet on Vivek Jain. It also came to fore that many other serious offenses including that of murder and looting were registered against the accused Ramjan Shaha.

The entire investigation was done by the cops of Tehsil Police Station and Crime branch personnel under the guidance of Commissioner of Police S P Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-III) Abhinash Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kotwali area) Bhagat and In-Charge of Tehsil Police Station Police Inspector Santosh Khandekar.
