Nagpur: Mayor Pravin Datke on Thursday paid homage to martyrs of Namantar Movement that was undertaken to change the name of Marathwada University in Aurangabad as Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar University. The Mayor visited the Shahid Bhimsainik Namantar Smarak, situated at Indora 10 Bridge, Kamptee Road and laid a wreath to pay his tributes to Bhim Sainiks who laid down their lives.
Other dignitaries who were present on the occasion include Prabhag Corporator Murlidhar Meshram, former Corporator Sardar Raju Bhabra, Sanjay Jaiswal, Assistant Commissioner Vijay Humne, PRO Ashok Kolhatkar, Rajesh Wasnik, Avinash Ghamgaye, Bholanath Sahare, Vinayak Jamgade, Principal Ramesh Mate, Raj Fule, Narayan Chavre, and a large number of Bhim Sainiks.
