Nagpur: The maximum benefit of State Government’s Loan waiver policy will be availed by the farmers who have been returning the amounts on a regular basis. The loan waiver policy which is divided in three phases has one phase of issuing bonus to the farmers depositing the loan in time. The information was given by Sachin Kurve, District Magistrate.
Under the policy, bonus of 15 to 25 thousand is to be given to the farmers. According to Kurve, the maximum benefit of this will be provided to the regular loan depositing farmers. The number of such farmers is expected to be around one lakh.
“The farmers are being requested to complete the application process online so that they can receive the benefits of the policy. The loan recovery average of the city has been better for past two years as compared to that of previous years. The advantage of the plan can be received online. The arrangements for same have been made properly”, said Kurve.
764 Biometric machines have been installed in the district for online registration. Similar arrangements have been made in 145 E centres and 72 centres of NDCC. The registrations to avail advantage can be made till 15th September. Kurve also informed that so far, 24,300 applications have already been received and that in case if they asked for bribery, the matter must immediately be complained.
