Nagpur:A massive fire broke out at a camphor factory in the Hingna MIDC area on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3 PM. The blaze was so intense that plumes of smoke spread far and wide, creating a thick smoky atmosphere in the surrounding area.
Five fire tenders from the fire department immediately rushed to the scene, with firefighting personnel deployed in large numbers to battle the flames. As a Mercedes car showroom is located near the factory, additional safety precautions are being taken.
Currently, 60 percent of the fire has been brought under control, with efforts continuing in full force to extinguish the remaining flames. Fortunately, no employees were present in the factory at the time of the incident as the company was closed on Wednesday, resulting in no loss of life.
A short circuit is being suspected as the primary cause of the fire. Further investigation is underway.
