Mason stoned to death in Pachpaoli, Nagpur

Nagpur: Sensation prevailed in Pachpaoli area near Indora Chowk in Nagpur after a mason was found dead on the footpath with his head smashed with stones on Friday afternoon. Cops registered a case of murder after checking the footage of the CCTV cameras but could not identify the killer.

Identified as Madhukar Manik Bagde (40), the deceased was a resident of Plot No 613, Bhandar Mohalla, Indora. Bagde’s body was found on the footpath near Amaira Dental Clinic near Khobragade Hospital, Indora Chowk. Soon after receiving information about the murder, a team of Pachpaoli Police led by Senior Inspector Baburao Raut visited the spot. After conducting the ‘panchnama,’ cops sent the body to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Bagde was an alcoholic. His wife was staying separately with her children near Krida Chowk in Sakkardara area. Pachpaoli Police, who registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, said that they are trying to identify the accused. The motive behind the murder could be ascertained only after the arrest of the accused, they added.
