Nagpur: Suspecting her character, a man strangled his wife to death and later surrendered to police. The brutal murder took place in MIDC-Bori police jurisdiction in the wee hours of Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Ramkrishna Davde (35) and the deceased is Mrunali Davde. The both were working labourers. The couple has three children.
According to reports, the accused Ramkrishna suspected Mrunali, who used to work in an MIDC company, having an affair with a man. This suspicion triggered frequent brawls between the couple.On Wednesday night too, Ramkrishna picked up a quarrel with Mrunali. The fracas continued till 4 am. The wordy duel took a nasty turn when Ramkrishna caught hold of Mrunali and flung her on floor. He then strangled her to death. After eliminating Mrunali, Ramkrishna woke up their three kids and took them to his mother. After handing over the kids, Ramkrishna straightaway went to MIDC-Bori Police Station and surrendered himself after informing cops about the murder. Police took him to his house and found Mrunali lying dead. Her body was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
