Man stabbed of old rivalry

A middle-aged man was stabbed by a group of people in front of a shop in Hasanbagh area on Friday. Nandanvan police have booked the accused and slapped charges under Sections 324 and 34 of the IPC.

According to information, Shaikh Mohammad Shaikh Jaffar (46) was present at his home when the accused Kalim, Salim, Sameer, and brother-in-law of Kailm reached Jaffar’s house at 7.30 pm and demanded him to meet them in front of a shop. The accused Kalim threatened Jaffar for signing his punishment of exile and a heated up argument took place between them in this regard. Kalam along with his accomplices attacked Jaffar with a sharp-edged knife.

Nandanvan police reached the crime scene after being informed and booked the accused in attempt to murder charges.
