Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly slapped another person inside the cabin of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone-I Rushikesh Singareddy at his office in Nagpur. The Pratap Nagar Police have registered a case against the accused, identified as Aniket Dawle.
According to police, the incident occurred when Pramod Gorkhede was called to the DCP’s office for preventive action following a non-cognisable (NC) complaint filed against him by Dawle at MIDC Police Station around two months ago.
In his complaint, Dawle had alleged that Gorkhede abused him. As part of the preventive proceedings, Gorkhede was summoned to execute a bond to maintain peace. Dawle was also called to the office as the complainant, with the intention of resolving the dispute and preventing further escalation.
However, during the meeting inside the DCP’s cabin, Dawle allegedly slapped Gorkhede. The incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the office.
Confirming the incident, DCP Rushikesh Singareddy stated that the two individuals had been called to his office in connection with the earlier NC complaint. He confirmed that Dawle allegedly assaulted Gorkhede inside the cabin and that a case had subsequently been registered against him.
