Man robs woman of Rs 9 lakh with job promise

A trickster doled out a bogus promise of job in Reserve Bank of India to a woman and relieved her of Rs 9,00,000.

According to the accused Vikas Shyamrao Mankar (32), resident of Dayalu Society, Jaripatka but now residing in Armos Township, Sector 10, Jaripatka, Nagpur, approached complainant Sushma Ravindra Bansod, (37), resident of Nazul Layout, Plot No. 37, Bezonbagh, and promised a job in the Reserve Bank of India to her handicapped sister Pratibha Eknath Sahare (42). Vikas Mankar took a total of Rs 9,00,000 from the period March 2012 to October 10, 2013. However, the complainant Sushma Bansod came to know that she is being duped and subsequently, lodged a complaint with Jaripatka Police Station against Vikas Mankar in this connection. Acting on her complaint, the Jaripatka PSI Shinde registered an offence against the accused Vikas Mankar under Section 420 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
