Man robbed off Rs 1.21 lakh cash, official bills

Nagpur News : Cases of waylaying have spiked in Nagpur city in the past few days. On Monday, a middle-aged man was robbed off his bag having Rs 1.21 lakh cash and official bills under Yashodhara Nagar Police Station area.

Mohd Shafique Noor Mohd (38), who is a resident of Yogi Arvind Nagar, Plot No. 1741, was recovery agent. He had kept his recovery money Rs 1.21 lakh cash and some official bills in his bag. On Monday night between 9.30 pm and 10 pm, he was heading back home on his motorcycle (MH DP 6370) when three unidentified youth came from rear and smashed his head with a iron rod in front of NIT ground, near Yadav Nagar petrol pump. Mohd Shafique fell on the ground with the impact of the attack. The accused then snatched his bag having the cash and bills and sped away from the spot.

On the complaint of Shafique, Yashodhara police booked the unidentified youths and registered an offence under Sections 394 of the IPC against them.
