Nagpur: Objecting to sister’s love affairs, her brother, father and three others murdered a man and injured another seriously. The incident occurred in Ajni area on Tuesday night.
According to police, accused Bunty Manohar Sukhdeve’s sister was in love with Pankaj Ravindra Patil (30), resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Kunjilalpeth. However, the accused Bunty Sukhdeve (brother), Manohar Sukhdeve (father) and three other accused namely Nayan Ilamkar, Amol Shende and an unidentified man (25-30 years) opposed the love affair bitterly. On Tuesday around 10 pm, all the accused accosted Pankaj Patil and his friend Palash Verma and attacked them with knives. The accused stabbed Pankaj repeatedly and killed him on the spot. Palash too received serious head injuries in the assault and is being treated in a hospital.
Ajni’s Second Police Inspector G J Patil, acting on a complaint lodged by deceased Pankaj’s mother Maya Ravindra Patil (52), has booked all the accused under Sections 302, 307, 143, 147, 148, 149 of the IPC. It could not be verified whether the accused were arrested or not. Further probe is on.
