Man murdered over ganja in Yashodhara Nagar

Nagpur: A brawl over ganja (marijuana) led to brutal murder of a man in Yashodhara Nagar in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Three accused involved in the murder went absconding and are being hunted by cops.

The deceased has been identified as Sheru Ali Mohd Ali (40), resident of Ekta Colony, near Gousia Masjid.

According to complainant, Sukeshni Rajesh Ballare (35), a woman named Rajlaxmi had come to her residence. Rajlaxmi had ganja packets in her cloth bag and three packets were allegedly taken away by accused Golu alias Kunal Vidyadhar Kamble and his two accomplices, all residents of Lumbini Nagar, Jaripatka. Over this reason, a quarrel erupted between her husband Sheru Ali Mohd Ali and the three accused Golu alias Kunal Vidyadhar Kamble and his two accomplices. During the brawl, the accused Golu and two others attacked Sheru with an iron pipe and knife and killed him on the spot. After eliminating Sheru the three accused fled the spot.

Yashodhara Nagar Senior PI P Y Meshram has booked the accused under Sections 302, 34 of the IPC and mounted a search to nab them.
