Nagpur: A 30-year old man allegedly “lifted” a young woman from Sitabuldi-based Eternity Mall and raped her in a hotel. The accused rapist has reportedly been arrested. The incident, though, took place in October 2017 but the complaint was registered only on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
The 26-year old woman, in her complaint, told police that the accused Dinesh Babulal Gandhi (30), resident of Kamal Nagar, Wadi Highway, approached her when she was standing at Eternity Mall in Sitabuldi and “asked” her to seat on his bike. The accused then took her to a hotel and raped her. Dinesh also took her to Telangkhedi.
Sitabuldi Woman PSI Raut, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Dinesh Gandhi under Sections 363, 376(2)(J)(N)(K) of the IPC and reportedly arrested him.
