Nagpur: A 37-year-old man was reportedly killed when he was hit with a brick on his head near Hardas Vyayamashala by unidentified assailants here, under Old Kamptee Police Station on Monday, cops said.

The deceased has been identified as Vivek Ramesh Humne, a resident of Hamalpura. He was allegedly attacked by unidentified accused using a brick on his head, preliminary investigations revealed. Cops have found a suspicious pulse bike (MH-31-BF-3747) from the spot.

According to police sources, the murder must have been occurred in the early hours of Monday morning . The locals found the body following which they alerted Police Control Room. Acting swiftly on the inputs, the squad of Old Kamptee Police rushed to the spot. Cops have found blood stains on the wall nearby.

DCP Neelotpal, ACP Ashok Pandit and PI Vijay Malche have visited the spot. And offence under Sections 302 was registered. Further investigations are on.
