Nagpur: Tension ran high in Imambada Police Station area after a youth was hacked to death by a goon with a sharp-edged weapon allegedly over financial dealings late Wednesday night.
Identified as Mahesh Vitthal Bawne (22), the deceased was a resident of Jat Tarodi. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused, Shankar Bholasingh Rathod and Mahesh Bawne were neighbours. Over some financial dealings, they were at loggerheads with each other. Around 11.40 pm on Wednesday, an argument broke out between them. Shankar lost his temper and killed Mahesh. The killer fled the spot.

On being informed, Imambada Police rushed to the spot. Police said the matter was under investigation and the accused would be put behind bars soon.
