Nagpur: A 30-year old man, hailing from Hinganghat in Wardha District, first chased a 17-year old girl in city since November 2015 and later on Sunday (July 24) barged into her house and asked her to marry with him right then and there. And when the girl refused to follow his diktat, the accused abused her and also indulged in objectionable acts. Cops booked the accused and reportedly put him behind the bars.
The accused Mahendra Premdas Shelke (30), native of Kinhala, Tehsil Hinganghat, District Wardha, was probably knowing the 17-year old girl, a resident of Hudkeshwar area. Mahendra often chased the girl since November 2015 with an ulterior motive. However, on Sunday (July 24), crossing all limits, the accused entered the house of the girl when she was probably alone and asked her to marry him at once. Taken aback by the acts of Mahendra, the girl refused to meet his “demand.” Enraged by her refusal, Mahendra abused and molested her by indulging in objectionable acts.
Hudkeshwar PSI B P Kaore, based on a complaint of the girl, booked the accused Mahendra Shelke under Sections 354(D), 448, 504 of the IPC read with Sub-Sections 11, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Unconfirmed report says the accused has been arrested.
