Nagpur: Ajni Police on Thursday booked a 28-year-old man for seriously injuring a vegetable vendor with a stick. Identified as Vishal Pramod Patle, the accused is a resident of Bhagwan Nagar.
Around 7 pm, Suresh Namdeo Borkar (52), a resident of Plot No 114, Chandan Nagar, was selling vegetables on a handcart.
Patle’s dog started barking at him. Borkar yelled at the canine to shoo it away. Patle picked up an argument with him. After heated exchanges, Patle threw vegetables and overturned his handcart.
He then attacked Borkar with a stick causing him serious head injuries. After recording the victim’s statement, police registered an offence under Sections 324, 427, 506 of the IPC against Patle.
