Nagpur: Sitabuldi police arrested a 25-year old man on the charges of chasing a teenage girl and outraging her modesty while she was returning home from college on Monday.
The 17-year old victim girl in her complaint told Sitabuldi police that she was returning home from college between 2.45 pm and 10 pm on Monday in an auto. While she was sitting in the auto, the accused Abhilash Baburao Mohod (25), resident of Joshiwadi, chased her and resorted to obscene act and also threatened her.
Sitabuldi PSI N H Vitole, acting on the complaint of the girl, booked the accused Abhilash Mohod under Sections 354(D), 506 of the IPC read with Section 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested him. Further probe is underway.
