A youth lodged complaint against his own father as he attacked the youth and injured him seriously. The incidence took place on June 17 under the jurisdiction of Sitabuldi police station. The accused has been taken into police custody.
According to reports, a resident behind Kachipura Police Chowky, Amit Krishnakumar Oza was having dinner with his mother on June 17 at 9.30 pm when his father Krishnakumar Rammisal Oza barged into the house. Krishnakumar started hurling profanities at his wife’s way and threatened to kill her. Hearing abusive language for his mother, Amit intervened and tried to stop his father. However, Amit’s intervention further aggravated Krishnakumar. The agitated father went into the kitchen and brought a knife and stabbed Amit near abdomen.
On the basis of the complaint by Amit, Sitabuldi police arrested Krishnakumar and slapped charges under Sections 326, 504, 506 of the IPC. Meanwhile, Amit was sent to hospital for treatment.
