Nagpur: Makar Sankranti being the first festival of 2016 has its charm deep down the lanes and busy streets of Nagpur, but the joy of festival has been reduced to extra cautiousness of parents of youngsters yet again. The life threatening nylon manja is once again on sale in full bloom. Despite ban nylon manja by the state government and protests by various organisations on it is being freely sold in the city market.

Nagpur Today treads the prominent markets and explored nylon manja sale flying higher than any kite can go up in the sky! A day earlier, just for namesake, the police took action against one retailor. On the contrary, nylon manja worth crores were sold on the eve of Makar Sankranti. The kite markets at Juni shukrawari and Mahal sell the maximum stock of nylon manja. Kite lovers will celebrate the occassion from January 15-17, wherein huge quantity of nylon manja has been sold in the kite markets. Due to casual approach of the police the nylon manja was sold freely in the markets.
