Nagpur: A major fire broke out at an open plastic godown on Thursday night in Wanjra layout on Kamptee road. As many as eight fire tenders were pressed into service taking into account the intensity of fire.
As a gas godown is also located nearby, fire tenders remain in standby mode in this area. This saved the time as fire vehicles soon reached the spot.
Sources said that the godown was a complete mess on the open ground primarily cluttered with scrap material. As plastic goods were gutted, huge flames emanated from the spot while the fire fighters braved through the thick smoke to contain the damage. No casualty has been reported in the incident.
